3 Reasons You Should Race Dirt Bikes

Some people don't want to ride dirt bikes let alone race them. They think that it is way too dangerous. As much as I want to say that motocross isn't dangerous I'm afraid that there are dangers that come with riding and racing dirt bikes.

Even though it is a dangerous sport, there are plenty of reasons why you should get into it. I would go as far to say that the positive elements of the sport far outweigh the danger that is involved.

So why in the world would you want to jump on a motorized bike and go as fast as you can with people inches away from you? Let me tell you.

1. There is always room for progression. Unlike team sports like soccer and football, how well you do is all up to you.

Some sports are hard to progress at. With motocross there is a constant climb in skill level and every time you ride it seems you get better at it.

Since there is so much personal progression there is always great satisfaction with racing.

When it all comes down to it, it is just you, your bike and the track out in front of you. Even if you don't win the race you can always be doing better than you did in the past.

2. It is one of the most exciting sports out there. The reason it is so exciting is because of the danger involved.

So the one negative thing that people usually associate the sport with is actually a positive thing at the same time.

It is such a thrill to be elbow to elbow going as fast as you can. You can't even describe the adrenaline rush you get when you hit a huge jump and you are sitting in the air 20 or so feet off the ground.

Racing dirt bikes is always exciting and is one of the main reasons it is such a great sport.

3. It feels amazing after you go riding.

There is really no other feeling that compares to the feeling you get laying on the couch with a nice refreshing drink after a long day of riding. Even better is sitting in the hot tub with an ice-cold lemonade. It is just a feeling that you won't get anywhere else. You are tired and sore, but it feels great somehow.

If you haven't tried racing head over to your local track and give it a go. You will not be disappointed.
